What does RysUpRider do?
RysUpRider automatically raises and lowers vocal level around a target. It makes smooth gain moves before the rest of your chain, helping quiet words stay present and loud phrases stay controlled without using compression as the only solution.
Is RysUpRider a compressor?
No. A compressor reacts to peaks above a threshold and changes dynamics with ratio, attack, and release. RysUpRider follows overall vocal level and moves gain up or down inside the range you choose. It is often useful before a compressor so that compressor receives a steadier performance.
What is the music sidechain for?
Route the instrumental or music bus into the plugin sidechain and enable Music Sidechain. RysUpRider can then judge the vocal against the surrounding track instead of treating it in isolation.
Can it write the ride as DAW automation?
Not in version 1.0.0. The Ride fader and history are read-only meters that show the gain being applied. The generated ride is processed in real time and is not written into a DAW automation lane.
Will RysUpRider work in my DAW?
Yes. RysUpRider ships as AU, VST3, and AAX for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), plus VST3 and AAX for Windows 64-bit. Install and update it through the free RysUpHub app.
What's the difference between the Suite subscription and buying outright?
