How is RysUpNoise different from Waves NS1?
Same one-knob philosophy — single fader, instant noise suppression, no tuning — but RysUpNoise uses a speech-referenced gap gate that preserves more vocal clarity (−0.13 dB speech loss vs NS1's −1.71 dB at equivalent settings). You get cleaner gaps without the dull "underwater" artifact NS1 introduces at heavy settings.
Will RysUpNoise remove room noise and HVAC hum?
Yes — broadband noise floor (room tone, HVAC, fan noise, mic self-noise) is exactly what it's built for. Single-tone hums (60 Hz, 50 Hz) are handled by a separate hum filter. For more complex noise (music bleed, TV in the background), pair it with iZotope RX or reach for a spectral repair tool.
Can RysUpNoise run real-time on a vocal while recording?
Yes. Low-latency mode runs with sub-5 ms latency, so you can monitor through it while tracking. Great for podcast recording, voiceover work, and live streaming where you want the noise gone BEFORE it hits your DAW.
Does RysUpNoise work on non-vocal content?
It's optimized for speech, but works well on any monophonic source with a noise floor — acoustic guitar, solo piano, strings, room mics. It doesn't work as well on dense music or drum busses, where the "noise" and "signal" overlap too much.
Will RysUpNoise work in my DAW?
