What is RysUpPump for?
RysUpPump creates the tempo-locked volume movement that sidechain compression is usually faked with. Instead of setting an attack and release and hoping, you draw the exact gain curve you want and it repeats in perfect time with the host.
Do I need to route a sidechain input?
No. In Sync mode the curve follows the host tempo and playhead, so nothing has to be routed. MIDI mode retriggers the curve from an incoming note, and Audio mode triggers from a transient, so you can still drive it from a kick if you prefer.
How do I duck only the low end?
Turn on Band and set the crossover. Only content below that frequency is shaped, so the kick can clear space in the sub while the vocal, snare, and hats stay where they are. Solo lets you audition just the band being ducked.
Which rates does it sync to?
One sixteenth, one eighth, one quarter, one half, and a full bar. One Shot plays the curve a single time per trigger instead of looping, which is how you get a single duck on a drop rather than a continuous pump.
Will RysUpPump work in my DAW?
Yes. RysUpPump ships as AU, VST3, and AAX for macOS (Universal — Intel + Apple Silicon) and Windows 64-bit. That covers Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, GarageBand, Bitwig Studio, and every other major DAW.
