What reverb types does RysUpVerb include?
Plate, Hall, Room, Chamber, and Spring — the five algorithmic flavors that cover 95% of real mixes. Plate for vocals, Hall for orchestral/cinematic, Room for drums, Chamber for warmth, Spring for guitar amps and vintage character.
Can RysUpVerb do shimmer or long ambient tails?
Yes. Max decay goes to 20 seconds on the Hall and Plate algorithms, and a built-in pitch-shift feedback loop creates shimmer tails without needing a separate shimmer plugin. Great for ambient pads, cinematic scoring, and "wall of sound" vocal production.
How do I keep reverb from making my vocal sound muddy?
Use the built-in pre-delay (50–100 ms) to separate the dry vocal from the tail, roll off everything below 200 Hz on the reverb send, and duck the reverb under the dry vocal with the internal ducker. RysUpVerb has all three controls — no need to bus-route to a ducking comp.
Is RysUpVerb CPU-heavy like a convolution reverb?
No — it's algorithmic, so CPU stays low. You can run 10+ instances on a mid-range Mac without noticing the load. Convolution reverbs (impulse-response-based) sound great but eat CPU; RysUpVerb gets you 90% of the sound for 10% of the CPU.
Will RysUpVerb work in my DAW?
Yes. RysUpVerb ships as AU, VST3, and AAX for macOS (Universal — Intel + Apple Silicon) and Windows 64-bit. That covers Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, GarageBand, Bitwig Studio, and every other major DAW.

Do I need an iLok or dongle?

If we don't ship the fix or feature within 30 days, you're entitled to a full refund, no questions asked. In practice we usually ship within the week — but the guarantee is yours either way.
