Every chain uses Cakewalk’s stock ProChannel EQ, PC4K S-Type bus compressor, PC76 U-Type compressor, tube saturation, and tape emulation — plus the bundled Sonitus plugins for reverb, delay, gate. Nothing from outside the Cakewalk install.

No — every chain uses Cakewalk’s stock ProChannel modules (EQ, PC4K, PC76, Tube, Tape) and bundled Sonitus plugins. Nothing external required.

How do I install a Cakewalk track template?

Copy the .cwt file into your Cakewalk user templates folder, or open Cakewalk → File → Import → Track Template and point it at the file. The chain loads on the selected track.

Which Cakewalk versions are compatible?

Cakewalk by BandLab 2020-01 and all later monthly releases. Also works in SONAR Platinum with minor tweaks (some template paths change).

Is this Windows only?

Yes — Cakewalk by BandLab is Windows-only. There is no Mac version of Cakewalk.

Do these chains use ProChannel or the regular plugin rack?

Both — chains layer ProChannel modules (for console-style EQ and compression) with plugin rack inserts (for reverb, delay, gate). That’s how Cakewalk’s native workflow layers sit.

Can I modify the chain after loading it?
