What does the AI Vocal Analyzer do?
It runs real audio measurements in your browser: pitch tracking with key & scale detection, broadcast-standard (ITU BS.1770) loudness, sibilance detection with the exact frequency, resonance detection, noise-floor profiling, and room-reverb estimation. It first checks that you uploaded an acapella (a full song throws off every measurement), then turns the results into exact settings on real Rys Up plugin controls — plus the vocal preset from our store that best matches your voice and genre.
Why does it want an acapella instead of a full song?
Drums and instruments contaminate every measurement — the analyzer would "hear" the kick drum as vocal mud and the hi-hats as sibilance. The tool automatically detects full songs and asks for just the vocal. In your DAW: solo the vocal track, then export/bounce. That file is your acapella.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free. Upload or record as many vocals as you want. The analyzer runs entirely in your browser — nothing gets uploaded to a server. The plugin recommendations reference our Rys Up Audio plugins which you can download individually or grab the complete bundle.
What audio formats are supported?
The analyzer supports WAV, MP3, M4A, OGG, FLAC, and most common audio formats. You can also record directly from your microphone in the browser — no external software needed. For best results, use a dry vocal recording without effects already applied.
Do I need Rys Up Audio plugins to use the analyzer?
No — the analysis works with any vocal file regardless of what plugins you use. The settings it recommends are calibrated for Rys Up Audio plugins (RysUpEQ, RysUpComp, RysUpDS, etc.), but the frequency and dynamics insights apply to any EQ or compressor. That said, our plugins are designed to work together as a complete vocal chain and start at just a few dollars each.
Will it work with my microphone?
Yes. The analyzer adapts to whatever mic and recording environment you have. If your room has noise issues or your mic colors the sound, the analyzer detects that and adjusts its recommendations accordingly — like suggesting RysUpNoise for background noise or specific EQ cuts to compensate for proximity effect.
Will you add automatic preset generation in the future?
That's the plan. We're building toward one-click AI vocal preset generation that creates a downloadable preset file for your DAW — powered by Rys Up Audio plugins.
