Do I need a subscription for BandLab?
No — BandLab itself is free. BandLab Membership is a paid upgrade for cloud storage and stem separation, but free accounts can use our chains fully.
How do I install a BandLab vocal chain?
Log into BandLab, open a song, add our chain to your effects library via the Effects panel on any vocal track. It syncs to your account for future sessions.
Which BandLab clients are compatible?
The BandLab web app (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox), the BandLab iOS app, and the BandLab Android app. Same chain loads on all three.
Will these work if I record on my phone mic?
Yes — our chains are specifically tuned for phone-mic starting points. Proximity-cut EQ, gentle compression, reverb for space. The chain does a lot of the heavy lifting that a studio mic would handle acoustically.
Does the chain process in real time while recording?
Yes — BandLab applies effects in real time during monitoring on desktop and mobile, so you hear the finished sound as you record.
Can I export the processed vocal?
Yes — export your BandLab song as WAV or MP3. The effects chain is baked into the export.
Will these work with my Bluetooth headphones?
BandLab recording on mobile doesn’t play well with Bluetooth headphones due to latency. Wired headphones or earbuds are recommended for recording; playback is fine over Bluetooth.
Are these royalty-free?
Completely. Release on Spotify, TikTok, YouTube — your license covers all commercial use.
