What LiftFX does
BOOM Library sells LiftFX for risers, build ups, breaks, downlifters, swells, sweeps and falls. It is a generator plugin or virtual instrument, not an insert effect: it makes its sound with real time synthesis, built on the engine of BOOM's Turbine plugin, instead of processing your audio.
You play a key and the effect develops automatically in beat sync, or you ride the Progress dial or the mod wheel. Four macros can each be automated independently, and there are high cut and low cut filters, reverb and delay. Length can be set in tempo or in seconds, and pitch range and root note are adjustable. It ships with 275 presets.
LiftFX runs as VST, AU and AAX on Windows 8 or later and macOS 10.13 or later, takes 154 MB, and requires a free iLok account with one activation on a computer or USB dongle.
The $105 question
On September 18, 2026 both the BOOM Library page and the Sonuscore store listed the LiftFX full version at $115, with a free trial.
RysUpSweep is $9.99 to own. It is also included in RysUpSuite, $9.99 a month billed yearly, alongside every other current and future paid Rys Up plugin.
What you get in RysUpSweep
An insert effect for the build itself. Your chords, drums and vocal become the riser, so it is always in key and always in the arrangement.
- One Intensity knob, 0 to 100. It takes a track from untouched to paper thin.
- A low cut that climbs with the knob while a hall reverb and stereo early reflections build in behind it. The same sweep shapes the reverb, so at full the cut bands go completely silent.
- 7 modes on a notched meter: Airy, Lift, Build, Surge, Rage, Fury and Overkill. Each one is more intense than the last, and the hardest ends near 14 kHz.
- Click free at any speed. The filters are fixed and only gains move, with 20 ms smoothing, so you can slam the knob back to zero on the downbeat.
- Level Match holds loudness as the build thins out, and Club Safe keeps bass below 150 Hz in mono.
- Tempo Sync for the reverb movement at 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars.
- Mix and Output trim. Automate Intensity, or map it to a controller with your DAW's own MIDI learn.
- Animated creature visualizer, light and dark themes and presets.
- Mac AU, VST3 and AAX, Windows VST3 and AAX. Installed through RysUpHub. No iLok.
You give up a separate synthesized riser layer. You keep the build inside your own music, skip the iLok, and keep $105.01.

Build an 8 bar drop in RysUpSweep
A starting point for a classic build into a drop. Adjust by ear.
- Put RysUpSweep on the bus that carries the build section, or on the master if the whole track should lift.
- Pick a mode. Airy or Lift for a gentle pop or house lift, Surge or Rage for a festival build, Overkill when the last bar should be nothing but air.
- Turn on Tempo Sync and set the reverb movement to 8 bars so the space grows with the phrase.
- Switch on Level Match so the build keeps its weight as the low end leaves.
- Automate Intensity from 0 to 100 across the 8 bars, or map it to a controller with your DAW's own MIDI learn if you want to perform it.
- Drop the knob straight back to 0 on the downbeat. It is click free at any speed, so the drop lands clean.
- Leave Club Safe on for club tracks so the bass stays mono below 150 Hz while the top end opens up.
