UJAM Finisher BOOST, $59
A one knob transition effect with multi effect modes grouped into Track, Instrument, Drums and Vocals, more than 200 presets, and automatic phrases of 2, 4 or 8 measures. A Drama control can filter away the dry signal. It runs as AAX, AU, VST 2 and VST 3 and authorizes through the UJAM App.

How to audition a riser plugin
- Loop the last 8 bars before a drop plus the first bar of the drop. The downbeat tells you as much as the build.
- Match loudness with the plugin on and off. A build that simply gets quieter feels like a fade, not a lift.
- Snap the control from full back to zero on the downbeat and listen for clicks.
- Check the low end in mono on a club system or headphones. Wide bass during a build can vanish on a mono PA.
- Try it on a full mix and on a single bus. A good riser works on both.
