What Transit 2 does
BABY Audio built Transit 2 with Andrew Huang and sells it as the ultimate plugin for transitions and movement. You load up to 7 of its 28 effect modules in series, link any parameter to the motion system, and move them all at once.
There are six motion modes: Macro, LFO, Follower, Sidechain, Gate and Sequencer. In Macro mode the Transition knob sweeps every linked parameter, which is the mode BABY Audio describes for buildups, risers and beat drops. The modules include filters, reverb, delay, OTT, noise, an oscillator, pitch, loop and reverser effects.
It ships with 968 presets and a randomizer, runs as VST, VST3, AU and AAX on macOS 10.11 or later and Windows 10 or later, and offers a free trial. The changelog lists version 2.2 on November 13, 2025.
The $119 question
On September 18, 2026 the Transit 2 product page listed $129 to buy, or Sub to Own at $14.99 a month. Transit 1 owners can upgrade for $29.
RysUpSweep is $9.99 to own. It is also included in RysUpSuite, $9.99 a month billed yearly, alongside every other current and future paid Rys Up plugin.
What you get in RysUpSweep
No module slots to fill and no parameters to link. The build is already designed, and the knob plays it.
- One Intensity knob, 0 to 100. It takes a track from untouched to paper thin.
- A low cut that climbs with the knob while a hall reverb and stereo early reflections build in behind it. The same sweep shapes the reverb, so at full the cut bands go completely silent.
- 7 modes on a notched meter: Airy, Lift, Build, Surge, Rage, Fury and Overkill. Each one is more intense than the last, and the hardest ends near 14 kHz.
- Click free at any speed. The filters are fixed and only gains move, with 20 ms smoothing, so you can slam the knob back to zero on the downbeat.
- Level Match holds loudness as the build thins out, and Club Safe keeps bass below 150 Hz in mono.
- Tempo Sync for the reverb movement at 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars.
- Mix and Output trim. Automate Intensity, or map it to a controller with your DAW's own MIDI learn.
- Animated creature visualizer, light and dark themes and presets.
- Mac AU, VST3 and AAX, Windows VST3 and AAX. Installed through RysUpHub. No iLok.
You give up Transit's module library, LFO and sidechain motion and its preset count. You keep a finished build on one knob, and you keep $119.01.

Build an 8 bar drop in RysUpSweep
A starting point for a classic build into a drop. Adjust by ear.
- Put RysUpSweep on the bus that carries the build section, or on the master if the whole track should lift.
- Pick a mode. Airy or Lift for a gentle pop or house lift, Surge or Rage for a festival build, Overkill when the last bar should be nothing but air.
- Turn on Tempo Sync and set the reverb movement to 8 bars so the space grows with the phrase.
- Switch on Level Match so the build keeps its weight as the low end leaves.
- Automate Intensity from 0 to 100 across the 8 bars, or map it to a controller with your DAW's own MIDI learn if you want to perform it.
- Drop the knob straight back to 0 on the downbeat. It is click free at any speed, so the drop lands clean.
- Leave Club Safe on for club tracks so the bass stays mono below 150 Hz while the top end opens up.
