The Pro Tools standard, packaged as a track preset

Pro Tools is what every major studio runs — Abbey Road, Electric Lady, Capitol, United Recording. When an engineer says “industry standard vocal chain,” they’re usually describing a Pro Tools session with Avid’s own plugins: Channel Strip, EQ III, Dyn 3, D-Verb, AIR Reverb, BF76. Our Pro Tools vocal presets are that — packaged as track presets.

Each preset ships as a Pro Tools track preset file (.ptx) that loads an entire vocal chain in a single action: right-click the track, Load Track Preset, pick the file. Every insert, send, buss, and automation lane comes with it. Start recording over the beat inside of a minute.

Compatible with Pro Tools 2022, 2023, 2024, Pro Tools Studio, and Pro Tools Ultimate. Works on macOS and Windows. Built for the AAX plugin format — no VST3 or AU needed.

Polished for modern session flow

Polished for modern session flow

Every track preset is tuned with sensible gain staging, proper headroom, and labeled sends for parallel compression, reverb, and delay. Drop into a template and you’re already following the mix-bus conventions major studios use.

The Vocal Vault

Studio-grade vocal chains, built on the plugins Avid ships.

We built these chains on Avid’s own plugin suite because that’s what Pro Tools sessions actually use in the real world. When a major-label mix engineer opens a Pro Tools template, they reach for Channel Strip and Dyn 3, not a third-party. Our presets match that workflow exactly — so your session opens anywhere Pro Tools is installed, no plugin hunts, no offline warnings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any third-party plugins for these Pro Tools vocal presets?
No — every preset runs on Avid’s stock plugins: EQ III, Dyn 3, Channel Strip, D-Verb, AIR Reverb, Mod Delay III. If Pro Tools is installed, the chain loads.
How do I install a Pro Tools track preset?
Right-click the vocal track in the Edit window, choose "Load Track Preset…", and select the .ptx file. Pro Tools loads every insert, send, bus, and automation lane at once.
Which Pro Tools versions are compatible?
Pro Tools 2022, 2023, and 2024. Works with Pro Tools Studio and Pro Tools Ultimate. Earlier versions of Pro Tools (2021 and prior) don’t support the track preset format we use.
Do these work in Pro Tools Intro or First?
Pro Tools Intro supports most of our chains, but a couple use Dyn 3 bundle features that are Studio-only. We flag those chains clearly.
Do these work on Apple Silicon Macs?
Yes — Pro Tools runs natively on Apple Silicon and every Avid stock plugin in our chains is native. No Rosetta.
Can I customize the chain after loading it?
Yes — every insert is live. Double-click any plugin to tweak EQ curves, compression ratios, reverb levels. The preset is a starting point.
Do these presets work with my Avid HD hardware / HDX card?
Yes — because the chain only uses Avid stock plugins, which are DSP-accelerated on HDX systems, you can use these presets on HD native or HDX without a performance hit.
Are these royalty-free for major label releases?
Completely. Your license covers commercial and major-label use. Engineers regularly use these on records that go through the full label pipeline.
