If you came here looking for a Spaced Out plugin alternative that still puts reverb and delay in one window, that is the short answer. RysUpAtmosphere costs about half as much, carries more presets and goes all the way to 75 second decays.

What Spaced Out does
BABY Audio built Spaced Out as a modern take on the space echo. It combines delay, reverb and modulation in one plugin with a very visual interface.
The Echoes side has a 16 step delay sequencer synced to your host, four echo styles called Clean, Wonky Tape, Lofi and Hazy, delay modes for straight, 2x, dotted and triplet, and a reverse option. The Space side has four reverb styles, Vacuum, Small Space, Medium Space and Outer Space, plus predelay from 0 to 250 milliseconds, a Stardust shimmer, a Mellow damping control, Clean Up and Width. X/Y controls morph between reverb length and modulation, and between the echo and space blend.
It ships with 125 presets and runs as VST, VST3, AU and AAX on Mac and Windows. BABY Audio activates with a license key on up to three computers and does not offer offline activation.
Where the $99 goes
Spaced Out is $99 outright, or $14.99 a month on BABY Audio's Sub to Own plan. That buys a genuinely distinctive creative effect. What it does not buy is range: four echo styles and four reverb styles is the whole palette.
RysUpAtmosphere is $49.99 outright. It is also included in RysUpSuite, which is $9.99 a month billed yearly for every Rys Up plugin, not just this one.

A big hook space in Atmosphere
A starting point for the moment the chorus needs to open up. Adjust by ear in the full mix.
- Put Atmosphere on an effect return, set the mix fully wet and send the lead vocal to it.
- Pick a large reverb type and try a decay between 3 and 6 seconds. Anything past that belongs on throws and transitions.
- Choose a tempo synced quarter or dotted eighth delay and turn on ping pong for width.
- Low cut both engines so the tail does not muddy the kick and bass. Use air carefully so the shimmer does not get harsh.
- Turn ducking up until the space dips under each sung phrase, then shape the curve so it swells back in the gaps.
- Rebalance reverb against delay for the verse, then automate the send up for the hook.
