Video Audio Workflow

Remove Vocals From Video

Remove vocals from a video soundtrack by exporting the audio first, separating the vocal, then pairing the instrumental back with your edit.

The stem tools process audio files. Export the audio track from your video, run vocal removal, then re-sync the instrumental in your video editor.

Fast workflow

  1. Export video audio. Start with the highest-quality source you have. WAV is ideal, but MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and AAC work across the browser tools.
  2. Remove the vocal. Open the matching tool, preview before export, and make one clean move at a time so you can hear what changed.
  3. Re-sync the instrumental. Download a WAV, then keep going inside Rys Up Studio or move to the matching Rys Up plugin when the sketch becomes a real session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload a video file directly?
Not yet. The current stem tools process audio files, so export the audio from the video first, then run the vocal remover.
Does my audio get uploaded?
Most Rys Up tools process locally in your browser. AI stem separation tools use cloud GPUs because the model is too heavy for normal browsers, and files are deleted after processing.
What should I export?
Export WAV when you plan to keep editing. Starting from WAV gives TikTok, YouTube, your DAW, or another Rys Up tool the cleanest file to compress or process next.
