How to Install Vocal Presets on Mixcraft

Mixcraft by Acoustica is a great DAW for beginners and intermediate producers. Installing Rys Up Audio vocal presets on Mixcraft uses the MetaPresets system — follow the steps below.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Download and unzip your vocal preset pack from your Rys Up Audio account.
  2. Move the .preset files into the following folder:
    • C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\MetaPresets7
    • Note: The ProgramData folder is hidden. To view it, open File Explorer, go to the View tab, and under "Show/hide," make sure "Hidden items" is checked.
  3. Once the files are copied, open your Mixcraft session.
  4. On the track where you want the plugin chain, click the "FX" button.
  5. A window will pop up with a dropdown labeled "<Select Effect Chain>".
  6. The new presets will appear in that list. Select the one you want, and the plugins will load onto the track.

Pitch Correction

Some presets use the free MAutoPitch plugin by Melda Productions for pitch correction. You'll need to install it for the chains to load properly. Download it (and more) from Melda Productions' Website.

Adjusting the Preset

  • Gain: Make sure your input level is healthy — not too quiet, not clipping.
  • Pitch correction key: Set MAutoPitch to the key of your song for natural-sounding correction.
  • EQ and compression: Open individual plugins in the chain to make subtle adjustments to match your voice.

Troubleshooting

  • Can't find ProgramData: Open File Explorer, click the View tab, and check "Hidden items" under Show/hide.
  • Presets not appearing: Make sure the .preset files are in MetaPresets7 (not a subfolder). Restart Mixcraft after moving files.
  • Plugin errors: If the preset uses plugins you don't have installed (like MAutoPitch), install them first, then reload.
