For songs with a steady beat, accuracy is typically within ±0.5 BPM. The detector uses onset-based beat tracking and validates against an autocorrelation tempogram. Loose live recordings or heavily syncopated tracks may surface "half-time" or "double-time" candidates — a manual toggle exposes both.
How does key detection work?
Chroma vectors are computed across the entire song and matched against the 24 major + minor profile templates (Krumhansl-Schmuckler). The top match is reported with a confidence score.
