RysUpAlign and VocAlign 7 Pro both aim to tighten vocal timing and match pitch. RysUpAlign 2.0 is $49.99, with a vocal-stack workspace and global, track, and clip controls. VocAlign 7 Pro is $199 and also offers multi-track editing. Both ship Mac AU/VST3/AAX and Windows VST3/AAX; the format list alone does not establish identical host behavior or sound.

Why the price gap exists

VocAlign 7 Pro is not the old VocAlign 6. It manages a whole stack in one multi-track view, with sync points and protected areas. RysUpAlign 2.0 now also exposes a stack workspace, track/clip guide choices, sync points, and protected ranges; those feature categories alone no longer explain the price gap. The VocAlign Standard edition costs $149 but concentrates on timing, so its tier needs to be clear in a timing-and-pitch comparison.

RysUpAlign's global settings flow down to tracks and clips unless overridden. Timing, pitch, vibrato, level, formants, and transpose can be adjusted at those scopes. Optional linking reads actual edited guide audio from RysUpPitch 1.1.0 or newer, a separate product; click Align again after a guide change. This is not RePitch or SynchroLink compatibility. If the host does not bind ARA, use capture. In a normal Logic AU, use Bounce in Place to print region audio.

Where each one wins

Choose RysUpAlign for $49.99 outright or Rys Up Suite access, with stack, track, and clip controls on Mac or Windows. VocAlign 7 Pro retains its own SmartAlign/SmartPitch processing and RePitch integration; RysUpAlign does not claim to reproduce them. VocAlign Pro has its own subscription path. Compare the actual workflow and checkout option rather than treating Windows, AAX, or multi-track controls as missing from Align.

Neither feature list proves one aligner sounds better on your voice. Use the same session and listen at matched levels, especially on consonants, sustained vowels, and harmony notes. The best setting leaves the stack cohesive without making every take feel copied.
