Should you spend $49.99 on RysUpAlign 2.0 or $299 on Revoice Pro 5? First decide whether you need an aligner or a broader vocal-editing workstation. Both can match a dub to a guide in timing and pitch. Align now has global, track, and clip settings with flexible guide choices. Revoice Pro 5 also contains detailed pitch and vibrato editing, formant and de-essing tools, and a double-track workflow.

Where RysUpAlign makes sense

If the lead is good and you need the doubles and harmonies to sit with it, Align lets you choose guides and adjust timing, pitch, vibrato, level, formants, and -24 to +24 semitone transpose globally, per track, or per clip. Track settings inherit from global controls; clips inherit from their track. Compare Original and Aligned, then use your DAW's render or bounce command to commit audio. Preserve Harmonies helps retain the musical interval rather than flattening every backing note onto the lead.

RysUpAlign is available outright and through Rys Up Suite. Windows and AAX are now included, but Align is not Revoice's note-drawing, synthetic-double, or de-essing suite. Its optional local guide link imports actual edited audio from RysUpPitch 1.1.0 or newer, a separate product; click Align again after the guide changes. ARA still requires host binding, with capture otherwise. A normal Logic AU uses Bounce in Place.

Where Revoice Pro 5 earns its price

Revoice is the right tool when you must rescue a performance, reshape its pitch or vibrato, create additional doubles, and then align several tracks in the same production. Synchro Arts also offers it through its Pro subscription. If those deeper edits are part of every session, buying only an aligner will not remove that work.

The honest answer: start from the session, not a comparison chart. A timing-and-pitch match on one chorus may be all you need; a complicated lead with individual note repairs may need Revoice. Test the exact host workflow before you commit to either purchase.
