Built different

Small team. Real humans. Shipping daily.

The big plugin brands take years between updates. We ship improvements every day — because we're small, fast, AI-accelerated, and actually listening to the people using our plugins.

We iterate faster than anyone

Leading AI in our dev workflow means we ship new features, new plugins, and bug fixes on a near-daily cadence. Waves took 20 years to update their EQ. We update every week.

You ask, we build

Tell us what you want in the plugin and we'll build it. Suite subscribers get direct access to the dev team — submit feature requests and see them shipped, usually within the week.

Here to disrupt, not extract

No iLok dongles. No paid "upgrade plans." No sales teams taking a cut. We skip the middlemen and price our plugins at what they're actually worth. Pro-grade DSP at indie prices.

Got feedback? Send it our way — we read every message, and we ship what the community asks for.

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know.

How does RysUpDS detect sibilance versus regular vocal content?
A dedicated sibilance detector tracks the 4–10 kHz range and only compresses when true sibilance is present — not when the vocal just happens to have bright consonants. You get transparent de-essing without the lisp you'd get from a static high-shelf compressor.
Can RysUpDS work as a general dynamic EQ?
Yes. Set the detection band anywhere in the spectrum and RysUpDS will duck that frequency only when it exceeds threshold. Use it for harsh guitar frequencies, resonant snare rings, or overbright cymbals — anywhere you need frequency-specific dynamic control.
Should I put RysUpDS before or after my compressor on vocals?
Usually before — so the compressor doesn't amplify sibilance it then has to fight. The classic chain is: EQ → RysUpDS → Compressor → Saturation. But try both; some engineers swear by post-compressor de-essing to catch sibilance the comp brings up.
Does RysUpDS have a listen/solo mode for the de-ess band?
Yes. Hit the Listen button and you'll hear only the band being compressed — the sibilance itself. This makes it dead simple to tune the frequency and threshold by ear before engaging the full plugin.
Will RysUpDS work in my DAW?
Yes. RysUpDS ships as AU, VST3, and AAX for macOS (Universal — Intel + Apple Silicon) and Windows 64-bit. That covers Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, GarageBand, Bitwig Studio, and every other major DAW.
What's the difference between the Suite subscription and buying outright?
Buying outright gets you this one plugin forever. The Rys Up Suite subscription ($9.99/mo on annual, $14.99/mo on monthly) gets you every current plugin plus every future plugin we release — one price that unlocks the entire catalog.
Do I need an iLok or dongle?
No. We use a simple license key system. Install once per machine, activate with your email and key, and you're done. No iLok account, no USB dongle, no annual license-manager fees.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — and we back it with our 30-day fix-it guarantee. Hit a bug? Want a feature added? Email support and we get on it. If we don't ship the fix or feature within 30 days, you're entitled to a full refund, no questions asked. In practice we usually ship within the week — but the guarantee is yours either way. That's the benefit of a small, fast, customer-driven team: you talk to humans, not a ticket queue.
