RysUpSocial Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how RysUpSocial (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) handles information when the Rys Up Audio marketing team uses RysUpSocial to publish release announcements to the connected Rys Up Audio TikTok account.

About RysUpSocial

RysUpSocial is an internal, first-party marketing application built and operated by Rys Up Audio LLC. RysUpSocial connects to a single Rys Up Audio-controlled TikTok account via TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API, and publishes Rys Up Audio's own release announcements (plugin updates, product news) on that account. RysUpSocial is not offered to or installed by third-party users; only Rys Up Audio team members operate it.

Information RysUpSocial accesses

When the operator authorizes RysUpSocial on the Rys Up Audio TikTok account, RysUpSocial requests the following scopes:

  • user.info.basic — to read the connected TikTok account's open_id, display_name, and avatar_url so the dashboard can confirm which account is connected before posting.
  • video.publish — to publish release announcement videos directly to the connected TikTok account via Direct Post.
  • video.upload — bundled with the Content Posting API by TikTok. RysUpSocial may use this to upload a release announcement as a TikTok Inbox draft when the operator chooses to review on TikTok before publishing.

RysUpSocial does not access TikTok messages, followers, video lists, or any data outside the scopes above.

How RysUpSocial uses information

RysUpSocial uses the TikTok account information solely to:

  • Display a "Connected as @username" confirmation in the internal dashboard so the operator can verify the target account before posting.
  • Authenticate Content Posting API calls when publishing a release announcement video.
  • Maintain the access token / refresh token pair in our database so the connection remains active without re-authorization on every post.

Storage and retention

Access tokens, refresh tokens, and the connected account's open_id, display_name, and avatar_url are stored encrypted in our Cloudflare D1 database. Tokens are automatically refreshed when nearing expiry. If the connection is revoked on TikTok's side or removed in our dashboard, RysUpSocial deletes the stored tokens and marks the connection inactive.

Sharing

RysUpSocial does not share the TikTok account information with any third party. The information is only accessed by Rys Up Audio LLC operators through the internal dashboard.

Your rights

Because RysUpSocial only authorizes against accounts owned by Rys Up Audio LLC, the account holder retains full control. The connection can be revoked at any time directly in the TikTok app under Settings & Privacy → Security and Login → Apps and Sessions → RysUpSocial.

Changes to this policy

If RysUpSocial materially changes how it handles information, we will update this Privacy Policy and the "Last updated" date below.
