How to Install Vocal Presets Using Waves Plugins (StudioVerse)
If your Rys Up Audio vocal preset pack uses Waves plugins, you'll load them through StudioVerse Audio Effects (formerly known as StudioRack). This is a free plugin host from Waves that lets you load entire vocal chains in any DAW. Follow the video or step-by-step guide below.

Step-by-Step Installation
- Download StudioVerse Audio Effects (formerly StudioRack) from Waves: Download Here
- Install StudioVerse and make sure your Waves plugins are up to date.
- Open your DAW and insert StudioVerse as a plugin on your vocal track.
- In StudioVerse, click where it says "Full Reset" — this will present a dropdown menu.
- Select "Load" from the dropdown and browse to your downloaded .xps preset file.
- Select the file and the entire vocal chain will load into StudioVerse.
Important Notes
- Can't select the .xps file? If the .xps preset file is greyed out, you clicked the wrong load button. Make sure you click where it says "Full Reset" in StudioRack/StudioVerse — this presents the correct dropdown menu where you can select "Load" and the .xps file should be clickable.
- StudioRack name change: As of 6/20/2024, StudioRack is now called StudioVerse Audio Effects. It's the same plugin with a new name. Download it here: https://waves.alzt.net/9gXGWQ
- Waves plugin access: Waves plugins are no longer sold individually — you get access to all their essential plugins through their subscription or bundles: https://waves.alzt.net/nLLvvR
Waves Plugin Compatibility
StudioVerse works in every major DAW — FL Studio, Logic Pro X, Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One, Cubase, Reaper, and more. The process is the same regardless of which DAW you use:
- Insert StudioVerse on your vocal track.
- Load the .xps preset file.
- Record and mix your vocals.
Troubleshooting
- Plugins greyed out in StudioVerse: This usually means you loaded StudioVerse in mono mode. Make sure to create a stereo audio track instead of mono when applying the presets and loading plugins.
- Plugins not showing up after install: You MUST restart your computer after installing Waves plugins. They won't show up until after a full restart.
- Still not showing up after restart: In StudioVerse, click the 3 lines in the top right > VST3 > Scan Plugins.
- Some plugins still missing: Reinstall the missing plugins, then restart your computer again.
- "Full Reset" not working: Make sure you're using the latest version of StudioVerse. Older versions of StudioRack may have different menu layouts.
