Stock Plugin Bridge Setup Guide

Use the stock effect you know in another compatible host

Stock Plugin Bridge loads supported stock effects from your own installed and licensed DAWs inside a compatible AU or VST3 host. It gives you a source browser, the original effect editor and settings saved with your destination session.

The point is simple: changing the session you work in does not have to mean replacing every familiar effect. If a supported stock compressor, EQ or creative effect is already part of your setup, Bridge gives you another place to use it.

Explore Stock Plugin Bridge, or get it with RysUpSuite.

What you need before installing

The current release runs on Apple Silicon macOS as AU and VST3, and on Windows x64 as VST3. Audio operation is currently 48 kHz stereo. Your destination host must support the matching plugin format and architecture. There is no Intel Mac or AAX destination carrier in this release.

You also need the supported source DAW and a valid source license on the same computer. Bridge uses your existing installation. It does not supply vendor binaries, replace a DAW license or unlock effects you do not own.

Effect availability depends on the source, version and platform. The Bridge browser lists the supported devices available from your installations. A familiar DAW name does not mean that every stock device, every instrument or every historical version is supported.

Source coverage in the initial release

On Mac, Bridge includes supported effects from Logic Pro, GarageBand, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Studio Pro or Studio One, Cubase, REAPER and Pro Tools.

Windows starts with 36 effect records: 8 REAPER effects, 8 Cubase effects, 17 Avid effects, FL Balance, Studio Mixtool and Live Utility. The initial FL, Studio and Live integrations each expose that single effect. These source families do not imply that every device or source version is supported.

Install and choose an effect

  1. Install or update RysUpHub to version 1.0.109 or later, then install Stock Plugin Bridge.
  2. Open your compatible destination host and set the session to 48 kHz.
  3. Insert Stock Plugin Bridge as an audio effect. Choose the source DAW in the browser, then choose a supported effect.
  4. Work in the original editor and save your destination session normally.

On macOS the source DAW stays closed while Bridge uses supported installed effects. Some Windows integrations use a hidden source process. In both cases the source installation and its authorization remain part of the setup.

Keep the original workflow close

The Bridge shell keeps source selection and effect selection together. Light cream and dark graphite themes let the shell fit your session, while the effect keeps its original editor. You do not need to learn a replacement set of controls just to reach for a supported effect you already know.

This is useful when you prefer one host for editing or recording but rely on a stock effect from another installation. It also keeps the decision concrete: pick the supported effect you need, set it in context and continue mixing.

Save and move sessions with the dependencies in mind

Bridge stores the selected effect and its state with the destination session. Reopening still requires a compatible source installation and license. Effects that reference external assets need those files too.

Before moving a session to another computer, account for the destination host, Bridge version, supported source software and any external effect assets. Bridge does not turn a proprietary effect into a standalone distributable copy. For a collaborator without that setup, an audio render remains a practical way to share the sound.

Suite access or outright ownership

An active RysUpSuite subscription includes Stock Plugin Bridge, the current paid Rys Up lineup and future paid releases while active. Annual Suite costs $119.88 billed yearly, equivalent to $9.99 per month. Monthly Suite costs $14.99.

You can also own Stock Plugin Bridge for $49.99. The source DAW and its license are separate under either option. Browse the plugin lineup to see the other tools available with Suite.

Questions about a source effect?

If a device is unavailable, check the supported effect list in your Bridge browser and make sure the source software is installed and authorized. For help, send the source DAW version, destination host, operating system and effect name through our contact page.
